Complete overhaul of the passphrase generation. Generated phrases are now far more readable and natural thanks to a new grammatical construction engine (subject, verb, complement) and reworked per-language dictionaries. The result: phrases that are easy to read and remember while keeping very high entropy. Length, separator, capitalization and digit/symbol insertion options have also been improved.

Major new feature: the secure inbox. Each user can now enable a public URL at seecret.it/@yourslug, where anyone, even without an account, can drop an encrypted seecret for you. Perfect for email signatures, LinkedIn bios, contact pages. Configure your slug, your welcome message, and receive an email notification on every drop. Zero-knowledge model is preserved: the key stays with the sender.

The Organisation section is now available on Seecret.it. This new section enables structured and secure sharing within an organisation, with centralised access and member management.

The Seecret.it API has been updated and enriched with new functions, enabling deeper integration possibilities. Developers now have new ways to interact with the platform in a secure and flexible manner. The API documentation has been updated accordingly.

The hash generator has been completely redesigned and renamed Hash Toolkit. It now features four tabs: Generate (bcrypt, Argon2id, Argon2i, scrypt, PBKDF2, WordPress, MD5 — with per-algorithm advanced options: cost factor, memory, iterations…), Verify (compare a password to an existing hash with automatic algorithm detection), Checksums (MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384, SHA-512, SHA3-256, SHA3-512, HMAC-SHA256, HMAC-SHA512) and Identify (analyse an unknown hash and detect its algorithm client-side). An algorithm comparison table and a password strength indicator have also been added.

Added a new page allowing users to generate secure and memorable passphrases. Choose the number of words, dictionary language and separator. Based on the diceware principle, this tool generates high-entropy phrases that are easier to remember than traditional passwords.

Added a new page allowing users to generate password hashes using multiple algorithms (MD5, bcrypt, Argon2, WordPress, etc.). This tool makes it easier to verify, migrate, or securely update passwords, especially for developers and administrators.

Introduction of a major new feature enabling secure sharing of a seecret among multiple people. The secret is split into individual links and is revealed only when the required number of participants are present at the same time.
This approach removes any single point of failure and significantly strengthens control and security for sensitive information, both in professional and personal use cases.

Fixed an incorrect behavior when sharing seecrets containing an attached document with multiple visibility rules configured. The attached file was deleted after the first view, even when multiple views were allowed. The file is now deleted only when the seecret reaches its maximum number of views, in accordance with the configuration defined at creation time.

Major update to the seecret editing mechanism to further enhance security. From now on, only the browser used to create the seecret can modify it. This restriction is made possible by storing the decryption key exclusively on the client side (localStorage), where it is never transmitted to or stored on Seecret.it servers.

Any attempt to edit a seecret from another browser or device is intentionally blocked, ensuring maximum protection in line with the zero-knowledge security model.

Strengthened browser-side security with the introduction of a secure local history. Decryption keys are now stored exclusively in the user’s browser (localStorage) and never transmitted or stored on Seecret.it servers. Each seecret includes an expiration date, enabling automatic cleanup of expired data.

When accessed from another browser or device, the key remains intentionally unavailable, fully enforcing the zero-knowledge model and preventing any reconstruction of the original link without the complete URL.

Deployment of the short domain st.vg dedicated to Seecret.it short link generation. This new domain enables even shorter, cleaner, and easier-to-share URLs while maintaining the same high level of security.

At the same time, an improvement was made to the link copy mechanism to prevent the window from closing when clipboard access fails, ensuring that the seecret always remains accessible and is never lost.

The Seecret.it extensions for Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox have been officially approved. They now fully comply with store requirements and are available for stable, secure, and optimal use.

Fixed the password reset system, which previously did not function correctly. Users can now securely recover their account with a more reliable, streamlined, and server-side validated reset process.

Release of the integrated password generator. Users can now generate strong, random, security-compliant passwords directly within Seecret.it.

Added the Wi-Fi QR Code generator. This feature allows users to easily generate a secure QR code to share Wi-Fi access without manual password entry.

Introduced an advanced security option allowing access to a link to be restricted based on the visitor’s country of origin (IP-based). This enhances data privacy.

Deployment of a new view limitation system per link to strengthen protection against unauthorized access and abuse attempts.

Overall performance improvements with optimized loading times, reduced page weight, and better server resource management.

Implementation of a definitive and irreversible data deletion system after access, ensuring no sensitive information is retained.
